Here's a blast from the past. I created this while I was in Kelly's intro to animation class a while back. I'm particularly proud of it.

The little dot fluttering around is a butterfly. Again, I blame blogger for the low quality.

Guess which one is fake? Ok, it's fairly easy to pick out the fake one at this point, but I'm still working on it.

Almost done

This is close to being finished. I've been working off and on with this mango for a few months now. There are some lighting issues on the mango itself but I wanted to test out some composition and lighting ideas. However, Matthew Bennett made some suggestions that I'm excited to try. Hope to have an animated turn around posted within a few weeks.

I sketched Dave Lowery while he came to BYU last year to give a lecture about storyboard artists in the film industry. The girl in the middle I sketched last sunday in church as a way to keep awake during her talk. And the bust I just sketched from a photo I originally found for a lighting study.

Look at all the pretty colors!

Here's a digital painting I did to study the color, lighting, and texture of a mango with the intent to model, texture, and light using Maya and Renderman.

I picked a mango because I love the colors and subtle textures! My goal is to make this mango look 1/100th as good as the food in Ratatouille when I'm done modeling, texturing, and lighting it.
